Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how DigicovAI ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Flashwriter browser extension (the "Extension"), available on the Chrome Web Store. By installing or using the Extension, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the Extension.

Flashwriter is a browser extension that assists you in writing and responding to conversations on supported platforms, currently LinkedIn. When active on a supported page, the Extension reads the visible conversation text on the page, together with any instructions or prompts you provide, and uses this information to generate suggested replies or follow-up messages in your own voice and style.

All suggested messages generated by the Extension are presented to you for review. The Extension does not send any message on your behalf without your explicit review and approval. You must actively click to approve or send each message, including any follow-up messages, before it is posted on the platform.

Sign-In Information: Flashwriter uses Google Sign-In (OAuth 2.0) to authenticate you. When you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information from your Google account, limited to your name, email address, and profile picture, solely to create and manage your account. We do not request or receive access to your Gmail, Google Contacts, Google Drive, or any other Google service or API beyond basic sign-in.

Conversation Content: To generate a suggested reply, the Extension reads the visible conversation text on the current page you are viewing, along with your prompt, and sends this to third-party AI providers (OpenAI and/or Anthropic) solely to generate a response in real time. We do not store, log, or retain the content of your conversations, messages sent or received, or AI-generated replies on our servers or in our MySQL database. This content is processed transiently and is not persisted anywhere by us.

Account and Settings Information: We store limited account-level information, such as your Google sign-in profile details and any preferences you configure within the Extension, so it functions correctly across sessions.

We do not use advertising SDKs, and the Extension does not display third-party advertisements.

To generate suggested replies, the Extension sends the relevant conversation text and your prompt to OpenAI and/or Anthropic, which process this information solely to return a generated response. These providers process data under their own privacy policies: OpenAI https://openai.com/privacy/ and Anthropic https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy. We do not instruct these providers to retain conversation content beyond what is necessary to generate a response, and we do not use your conversation content to train any AI model.

We use the information described above solely to: (1) authenticate and manage your account using Google Sign-In; (2) generate suggested replies and follow-up messages via our integrations with OpenAI and Anthropic; (3) maintain your Extension preferences and settings; (4) maintain, secure, and improve the Extension; and (5) respond to your support inquiries.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling purposes.

Account and settings information is stored in a MySQL database maintained by DigicovAI, with access controls limiting access to authorized personnel only. Conversation content is transmitted securely (encrypted in transit) to the relevant AI provider solely to generate a response, and is not stored by us at any point. We implement reasonable safeguards to protect account information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Extension is designed so you remain in control at all times. Every suggested reply or follow-up message is shown to you before it is sent, and you must manually review and approve or send each message. The Extension does not autonomously post or send any message without this explicit, per-message approval. You may disable or uninstall the Extension at any time through your browser's extension settings.

Because we do not store conversation content, there is no conversation history to delete. Your account and settings information is retained for as long as your account remains active. To delete your account and associated settings, contact us at digicovai@gmail.com, and we will process your request within a reasonable time.

The Extension operates within LinkedIn as viewed in your browser and does not access LinkedIn's private APIs or bypass its authentication. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Extension, including any automated messaging features, complies with LinkedIn's own User Agreement and applicable platform policies.

The Extension is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the account information we hold about you. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at digicovai@gmail.com. If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the CCPA; we do not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
